PRODUCT INFORMATION

A tippy type is an invention for people with longer nails that solves the issue of discomfort and inefficiency while typing. Specifically, it's a modified silicone keyboard cover. 

It was designed with people with long nails in mind, but technically anyone can use a tippy type. Even those without long nails can enjoy the comfort and fun that comes with the 3D, velvety feel of a tippy type. 

We recommend this model of tippy type keyboard cover for up to medium length nails (think medium in the Apres Gel-X extension line...which is quite long!).

  • Just use water and a damp cloth to remove any dust/dirt.
  • If you want to use a soap, use a mild soap. We do not recommend using harsh chemicals as this could affect the lettering.
  • When not using, ideally store your tippy type in the protective case. This keeps dust off and prevents damage from any direct and long exposure to the sun which may cause discoloring.
  • Remember to remove your tippy type before trying to close your laptop! Tippy types are not intended to stay on your laptop while closed.
  • The primary function of a tippy type is to assist your typing. It will provide some protection to your keyboard but it is not meant to fully protect it from spills etc.
  • Keep your tippy type away from children – not a toy!

tippy types are made for both laptops and desktop keyboards. Each model of tippy type is designed to fit specific models of each device. Please see the product pages for more information on compatibility and check your device to make sure the tippy type will be a fit. SHIPPING AND DELIVERY

To track your order, simply use the tracking number that will be sent/was sent to you in your shipping confirmation email. This will provide the most up-to-date information on your order’s status and estimated delivery date. 

We offer shipping to both the United States and Internationally. Shipping rates vary depending on the destination.

Most orders are shipped from our warehouse within 48 business hours of being placed. 

Once shipped, standard US shipping (including Hawaii and Alaska) usually takes 3-7 business days for delivery. 

Once shipped, standard US shipping to Puerto Rico usually takes 7-30 business days. 


Please note, we are not responsible for delays caused by the following:

Weather conditions
Carrier delays (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
Natural disasters
Holidays or peak seasonal demand
Public health disruptions (e.g., COVID-19)
Incorrect or incomplete addresses provided


We recommend tracking your order closely. If you experience significant delays, please reach out to our support team for assistance.

Standard international shipping is available at a flat rate of $25 USD, with an estimated delivery time of 7-30 business days. This includes orders to Puerto Rico.

Yes we do! We offer expedited (2-3 day) shipping for US orders - ONLY (not available for P.O. boxes, Hawaii, Alaska or Puerto Rico).

Please note 2-3 business day shipping means it will arrive on the second or third business day after you place your order. 

See below for an explanation of what we mean when we say 2 day or 3 day shipping: 

Same day shipping - this would be if it arrived the same day you placed your order. We do not offer this. 

1 day or next day shipping - this would be if it arrived the first business day after you place your order. We do not offer this.  

2 day or 3 day shipping - this is your package arriving on the second or third business day after you place your order - This is what we offer and when you can expect to receive your expedited shipment. You will receive tracking information so you can follow the arrival of your package:) 

If you have Route Insurance

You can get a refund or replacement for your order. You can go here to begin filing a claim. We recommend you apply to do this as soon as possible.

If you opted out of Route Insurance 

First, check the address on the order and confirm that you entered the correct address. Once your item ships, it is in the hands of the carrier. It may have been delivered to a neighbor, stolen, or still sitting in the back of a delivery truck. Please get in touch with your post office or speak to your mail person. 

The package often arrives at the correct address within a week, but we cannot issue replacements or returns for items marked as "delivered."

If an order is returned to us due to delivery issues or the carrier being unable to locate your address, please reach out to us at [email protected]. We will work with you to resolve the issue and ensure you receive your item. Please note that there may be significant delays in the return process, as it can take time for the carrier to return the item to us. If a replacement is not immediately available in stock, you may experience additional waiting time before we can send a new item. 

We automatically opt you in for Route package protection on all orders to safeguard against delivery issues. If you encounter any problems, you can go here to begin filing a claim. We recommend you apply to do this as soon as possible.

If you chose to opt out of this protection, unfortunately, we are unable to assist with resolving the issue.

Please contact us at [email protected] as soon as possible. Our order fulfillment is incredibly fast so we are not able to guarantee that we will be able to correct your mistake even if you email us right away.

If an item ships before your address is corrected you will need to wait for us to receive the item back for a refund.

Due to high order volumes during the holiday season, some shipments may experience delays. If you haven't received a shipping confirmation email within 5 business days of placing your order, please feel free to contact us. 

We greatly appreciate your patience and understanding during this busy period!

tippy type partners with Route Insurance to provide shipping protection. You are automatically opted-in at checkout, however you may opt-out if you wish. This coverage gives you peace of mind, ensuring that your packages are protected in the event that a package is damaged during transit, is stolen (eg. from your porch or package receiving area), or doesn't arrive (is lost by the shipping carrier in transit). If you opt-out we may be unable to assist you and provide a replacement or refund if one of these events occur so we strongly encourage you insure your order(s). 

QUESTIONS ABOUT MY ORDER

All orders are processed and shipped from our warehouse within 48 hours after they are placed: 
 
US Orders: Delivered within 3–7 business days. 
International Orders: Delivered within 7 to 30 business days 

PREORDER - If we are on preorder for the items you want to change and it is before the shipping date please email [email protected] with your order number and request.

IN STOCK - If we are in stock and shipping we are not able to accommodate changes to an order (adding or removing items). Our fulfillment is too fast to catch these in time. Please make sure to confirm your cart before submitting your order.

PREORDER - If we are on preorder for the items you want to cancel and it is before the shipping date please email [email protected] with your order number and request.

IN STOCK - We are not able to guarantee that we can accommodate this request because our fulfillment is very fast and we are often unable to stop the shipment in time. Please reach out to us at [email protected] so we can check the status and proceed with your request but we cannot guarantee that we will be able to cancel your order before it is shipped. In the event it is shipped you will need to follow our return process. Thank you for your understanding.   

RETURNS AND REFUNDS

OUR RETURN POLICY

USA ORDERS (excluding Puerto Rico)

NO EXCHANGES

  • You can return your item within 30 days of receiving it. After 30 days, we will no longer accept returns. We do not offer exchanges. 
  • You will receive a refund of the product price you paid minus the cost of return shipping. The original cost of shipping your tippy type to you is non-refundable.
  • To start a return process, please email [email protected] and we will email you a return label via USPS to ship your item back to us.
  • Please put your order number in the subject line, and we will be in touch with the next steps. Please allow up to 3-5 business days for a reply. Please check your junk/spam folder if you do not receive an email back from us shortly after reaching out.
  • Once we receive your item, please allow 10–14 business days to issue your refund. We appreciate your patience during this time. Thank you!

PUERTO RICO: All PR orders are FINAL SALE! NO RETURNS, EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS

INTERNATIONAL (NON-USA) ORDERS

  • All non-USA orders are FINAL SALE! NO RETURNS, EXCHANGES OR REFUNDS
  • Also, please be aware there may be additional duties/tariffs/taxes due upon receipt of your package that are your responsibility to pay.

Refunds are processed once our return warehouse confirms the receipt of the returned item. Upon confirmation, we will promptly initiate the refund. Please note that it typically takes 5-7 business days for the refund to appear in your bank statement, depending on your bank's processing times.

You will receive a refund for the product price you paid, minus a return postage fee of $7.00. Please note that the original shipping cost to deliver your item(s) is non-refundable. Additionally, if you opted for Route package protection, the cost of this service is also non-refundable.

PREORDERS

Preordering your tippy type is the best way to ensure you're first in line to receive it when it's back in stock! We can't wait for you to get yours!

When you place a preorder, you'll receive an order confirmation right away, and we'll keep you updated with shipping details as soon as they're available!

Thank you so much for being a preorder customer! If your item is a preorder item this will be clearly indicated on the item's page, as well as the shipping timeline for that item.

If the timeline states "shipping tbd" this means we do not yet have a timeline, however as soon as we have an update we will email you promptly.

If the timeline says something like "early march" or "early fall", for example, we indicate these rough delivery windows because we do not yet have an exact date for shipping, however as soon as we have indication of a clearer delivery date we will inform you promptly.

Yes! As long as Route is purchased it will cover both shipments. If you order an in-stock item and a preorder item in the same order and purchase Route at checkout, Route will cover both shipments.
